Hyundai has officially pulled the wraps off the new Sonata Hybrid, on its local auto market, which will go on sale soon, with the unique exterior design and petrol electric powertrain.
The 2015 Hyundai Sonata has been shown recently in Seoul, with a unique exterior design and a petrol electric powertrain. The model in question has a unique grille pattern, a low drag rear diffuser and 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels. It is uncertain at this time whether the model will be offered in right-hand drive for markets such as Japan, Australia or the United Kingdom, but chances are we will see it in these countries too.
The new Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is packing a 2.0 liter four-cylinder direct injected unit, which is capable of producing 154 HP (115 kW) and 189 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque. The electric motor is good for 51 HP (38 kW) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque. The combined power of the two hasn’t been confirmed at this time but the average fuel consumption stands at 5.5 liters burned every 100 km.
