Hyundai has officially pulled the wraps off the redesigned 2015 Sonata, in its home market of South Korea, ahead of its public debut which will be taking place at the 2014 New York Auto Show, next month.
The South Korean based automaker Hyundai has officially released the first details and images with the 2015 Sonata, putting an end to almost all rumors and placing the models into the spotlight once again, after it has leaked several days ago, in some images. The 2015 Hyundai Sonata has received a number of premium features, but the cabin layout should remain the same, but add some heated leather seats, wood trim, rear parking sensors and so on.
A more aggressive program has been adopted onto the new Hyundai Sonata and this has the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, which was first seen on the 2015 Genesis. Hyundai says that the updated Sonata is now 35 mm longer and 30 mm wider than the outgoing version and this is giving it a more imposing stance. The suspension of the car has been tuned for a sportier drive on the Nurburgring and some new technologies have been fitted to it, such as the active cruise control, the lane departure warning, the blind spot detection or the new Blue Link infotainment system. No details on the engine lineup have been revealed yet and will be announced on the 16th of April, during the 2014 New York Auto Show.
