The South Korean based automaker Hyundai has been recently spotted while testing the brand new Sonata, which is expected to be launched in 2014.
The new generation of the Hyundai Sonata is closer to its future customers than ever but if you’re looking into the model, you should wait a few more months, as the vehicle is expected to become available for order sometimes next year. The images posted below are showing a prototype version of the 2015 Hyundai Sonata testing on public roads and they have been provided by our spy photographers. Despite the heavy camouflage, we can still see the lines of the new Sonata, which seems to adopt a more mature look.
The 2015 Hyundai Sonata is said to be more upmarket than the Equus and the Genesis sedans and the premium touches include the LED elements in the lights or the larger LCD on the center stack. The same platform will be used on the new generation and the entire engine lineup will be turbocharged. This will probably include the 1.6 liter four-cylinder from the Veloster Turbo, which will replace the 2.4 liter base option. The 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder will be offered in the 2.0T version. A hybrid variant is also expected. Additional details on the 2015 Hyundai Sonata are limited for the moment.
