2015 IAA Frankfurt motor show’s hottest reveals (part 1) image

The ongoing Frankfurt event is for the automotive industry like starting school – everything is brand new, cool and looking up for an entire year of sales (or high grades).

The German salon is also the first sign of the upcoming expectations for the 2016 car show season and all the important automakers in the world have made an appearance at the venue to showcase their latest and greatest. But, as life is anything but fair, some of these launches will go down in history and others will go down, literally. And some of these show cares will reach dealerships soon while others will remain simple flights of fantasy. We have decided that a selection of the coolest launches is in order and you’re going to see it here, subjective as it is.

Alfa Romeo Giulia QV – the Fiat Chrysler brand has been trying to resurrect itself like the Phoenix bird countless times and we’re hoping it finally succeeds. Things might be shaken in order by the fearsome Giulia QV, which has arrived with a Ferrari-derived V6 engine delivering 510 horsepower.

Audi E-Tron Quattro concept – this model says two things: Tesla Motors is not going to be alone gaining customers that want to go green but won’t give up sport utility vehicles and that a new niche has been born.

Bentley Bentayga – talking about specialized niches, the ultra-luxury British crossover is the first representative of the ultra-luxury crossover segment and it won’t be alone for long, as Rolls-Royce, Maserati, Lamborghini or Aston martin have also announced their intention to compete.

BMW 7 Series – this is the Bavarian flagship. Its technologies will spread out like wings of the butterfly toward the SUV and car line down to the small 1 Series. And the flagship sedan is also looking seriously ready to go green thanks to its new plug-in hybrid variant.

Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo – this is not the most exclusive automotive brand in the world going nuts about computer gaming – this is the company cleverly disguising its upcoming future into a concept car inspired by a very popular franchise.

Citroen Cactus M – this is one funky ride we would like to see in production just the way it is. We’re so bored with the seriousness of the automotive world that a spiritual successor to the cool Mehari might be just the doctor prescribed.
