The Japanese based automaker Infiniti has been officially introduced, ahead of its public debut which will take place at the 2014 New York Auto Show, later on today.
The 2015 Infiniti Q70 has been officially unveiled. The model in question will be offered in a long-wheelbase version and it’s basically a facelift. The carmaker says that the standard variant has a 114.2-inch wheelbase while the stretched one is coming with an extra 5.9 inches in wheelbase, which should be translated into increased rear legroom and kneeroom, improving the comfort.
“With a fresh new exterior and available long wheelbase version, the new 2015 Infiniti Q70 targets a new vehicle class by fusing the emotion-packed character of a performance vehicle with the comfort and exclusiveness of an extended sedan”, says Infiniti in the official press release.
The updated Infiniti Q70 has a front fascia similar to the one of the Q50 and the materials used in the cabin are making it look more upscale. The engine lineup has been carried over and this basically means that customers can choose the 3.7 liter V6, with 330 HP, or the larger 5.6 liter V8, generating 420 HP. The units can be mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. No pricing details have been announced yet.
