Land Rover is currently testing out the new generation of the Freelander as the model in question has been caught on camera once again by our spy photographers while it was being tested in Scandinavia.
The 2015 Land Rover Freelander, or the “Baby Discovery” as it is also being known, is ending up in our news once again, this time with the help of some more spy photos. The images posted below have been taken in Scandinavia, where the model in question has been tested in cold weather environment. The redesigned crossover is significantly larger than its predecessor and it’s said to ride on the same platform which is underpinning the five-door version of the Range Rover Evoque.
The styling of the 2015 Land Rover Freelander is expected to be heavily influenced by the Range Rover Sport and by the Evoque too, and so a prominent front grille, along with sweptback headlights, a sloping roof line, a tailgate mounted spoiler and a dual exhaust system are expected to be found on this model. As far as the engine lineup goes, this is expected to receive a 150 HP 2.2 liter diesel engine, a 190 HP 2.2 liter diesel unit and a 240 HP 2.0 liter petrol burner. More details on the new Freelander will be announced close to its unveil.
