The 2015 Mazda2’s interior design is now available on the web as the first images with it have leaked out ahead of its public debut scheduled for later on this year.
The Japanese based automaker Mazda is currently getting ready to officially unveil the next generation of the Mazda6 but before that will happen, the company still has to make sure that everything is in its right place and working just like it should. The images posted below have leaked out and they are representing the interior design of the new model, which, from the start, looks significantly updated.
The 2015 Mazda2 is coming with a simple layout, with very few buttons or knobs, a center air vent, a free-standing touch screen display, leather wrapped steering wheel, metallic accents and so on. When compared to its current version, the new generation of the Mazda2 stands at 160 mm longer, 25 mm taller and with the same width as its predecessor, while its wheelbase has been increased by 80 mm. The prototype in question is taking its power from a 75 HP (44 kW) and 135 Nm (100 lb-ft) of torque 1.5 liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. This will also be available with 107 HP (79 kW), along with the 1.6 liter diesel, producing 105 HP (77 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque.
