2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class starts production in the U.S. image

The Mercedes-Benz factory in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, United States, has recently started producing the 2015 C-Class.

The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has recently started its production in the United States, at the Tuscaloosa, Alabama, facility. The model in question will go on sale in the country and in Canada this fall and it will be echoing with its European version.

“Many of our Team Members have spent weeks and months in Germany getting to know the C-Class and the technologies associated with this product. Thanks to our highly qualified and motivated team, we are optimally prepared to write the next chapters of our success story ‘made by Mercedes-Benz in Alabama’”, said the head of the Tuscaloosa plant, Jason Hoff.

The U.S. version of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will only be offered with two engines, the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged, which is producing a total output of 241 HP (179 kW) and it has a peak torque of 310 Nm (229 lb-ft), or the larger 3.0 liter V6 twin turbo unit, with its 329 HP (245 kW) and 479 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque. Pricing details remain unknown for the moment and will be announced close to its local launch.
