The 2015 MINI Cabrio has been recently caught on camera by our spy photographers while it was being tested in some cold weather conditions, near the Arctic Circle.
The new generation of the MINI is getting ready to receive a new body style, the convertible, as our spy photographers have managed to capture the model on camera, while it was being tested near the Arctic Circle. The 2015 MINI Cabrio seems to enjoy the snow, even if it is coming with a soft top, and before it will be hitting the company’s showrooms, the carmaker has to make sure that everything is in its right place and working just like it should.
The 2015 MINI Cabrio will be riding on the same platform as the new MINI generation, which was unveiled late last year, and it will also be sharing underpinnings, interiors and engine lineup with the same model. The MINI Cooper Cabrio will probably get a 1.5 liter three-cylinder unit under its hood, with 134 HP (100 kW), while the MINI Cooper S Cabrio will be using a 2.0 liter turbocharged unit, with 189 HP (141 kW). More details on the 2015 MINI Cabrio will be announced this year, once the model will be officially unveiled.
