The 2015 MINI Countryman has been officially unveiled ahead of its public debut which will take place at the 2014 New York Auto Show.
MINI’s newest creation in terms of “new” models is aimed towards the Countryman as the model in question has just received an updated version. The 2015 MINI Countryman is basically a facelifted version of the crossover which has received several interesting upgrades which should continue to attract customers into the model. Styling changes are apparently limited but they do include the LED daytime running lights, the different front grille, the LED fog lights, the underbody guards on the AWD versions or the new alloy wheels.
The 2015 MINI Countryman can be ordered with three new exterior colors, the Starlight Blue metallic, the Jungle Green metallic and the Midnight Grey metallic. The cabin has received updated items such as the instrumentation, the chromed switchgear, the latest MINI Connected infotainment system or the sound deadening material. The engine options are being carriedover from the previous version of the crossover, except for the Countryman S, which has received the 1.6 liter turbo upgraded unit under its hood, which is good for 190 HP (140 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 7.5 seconds and top speed stands at 218 km/h (135 mph). The updated Countryman will go on sale this summer.
