The United States are seeing the introduction of the last “hurrah” of the high-performance sedan, the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition.
The model in question can be called just about anything but new but that isn’t stopping it from storming the company’s dealerships. According to the car manufacturer, this will be a final version of the mass-production Lancer Evolution and it won’t be mass produced but it will become available in just 1,600 units. All vehicles are going to get the glossy black look for the center bumper, the black aluminum roof, the dark chrome for the front grille surround, the Final Edition badging and several other goodies.
MMNA is also saying that all versions of the car will be getting the bi-xenon HID headlights with leveling control as well, along with the Enkei alloy wheels, the Final Edition animation on the meter display inside it, the black sun visors, headliner, pillars and handles, the glossy black center console with the individually numbered plaque, the red stitching and more. Some of the safety features include the ABS with EBD, the anti-theft security alarm, engine immobilizer, tire pressure monitoring, active stability control and seven airbags. Under the hood, this has a 2.0 liter turbocharged 16V inline-four engine, turbocharged and intercooled, which is working together with the Super All Wheel Control. The total output stands at 303 HP (226 kW) and 413 Nm (305 lb-ft). Stopping power is coming from Brembo and we should also mention the Bilstein shock absorbers and the Eibach springs.
