Mitsubishi has updated the Outlander Sport for the 2015 model year as the model has received some modest improvements.
The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is getting ready to tackle the North American automotive market as the model in question has been updated. According to the car manufacturer, the crossover has received the LED daytime running lights, some thicker glass, more noise isolation and some other tweaks, which should make future customers more interested in it.
“For the 2015 model year, Mitsubishi Motors’ perennial best-seller – the eye-catching Outlander Sport 5-passenger compact crossover – receives some key aesthetic and engineering improvements to help maintain its reign as the company’s #1-selling model”, says the company in its official press release.
The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport now has an improved CVT (continuously variable transmission) which is allowing a one mpg increase in city and highway, making the total to 25 / 32 / 28 (city / highway / combined), in the front-wheel drive version and 24 / 30 / 27 mpg in the all-wheel drive variant. Mitsubishi says that the model is also getting a 5-speed manual transmission, available as an option. Power is coming from the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, which is rated at 148 HP and 145 lb-ft of torque.
