The 2015th edition of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) has seen the debut of the 2015 Lincoln MKX, in a premiere.
Officially previewed by the concept car wearing the same name, the Lincoln MKX is finally here, in its final production version. The model in question has received features such as the muscular rear fenders, the plastic body cladding, the optional LED headlights, the split wing grille, the wraparound taillights, tailgate mounted spoiler, dual exhaust system and so on. The interior design is getting the floating center console, the metallic accents, wood trim, premium leather upholstery, infotainment system with a touch screen and more.
Options which will become available for the 2016 Lincoln MKX include the 22-way front seats, MyLincoln Mobile, Revel audio system, lane keep assist, cross traffic alert, blind spot information, 360 degree camera system, parallel and perpendicular parking assist, pre-collision assist, Auto Hold, adaptive cruise control and several other tweaks which should make the model more appealing into the eyes of its future customers.
Last but not least we have to mention its engine, which is a 3.7 liter V6, in the entry-level version. The unit is capable of producing 300 HP (223 kW) and 379 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. There is also a more powerful unit, a 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6, which is rated at 330 HP (246 kW) and 50 1 Nm (370 lb-ft) of torque. Both units are connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission which can send power to the optional AWD system. Prices for the model will be announced this fall.
