The entire 6-Series lineup has been upgraded by the German based automaker BMW and introduced at the 2015 NAIAS, in Detroit.
BMW has offered a mid-life facelift for the entire 6-Series lineup which is made out of the 6-Series Coupe, 6-Series Convertible and 6-Series Gran Coupe. To an untrained eye, the three vehicles pictured below may seem identical to the ones already available but at a closer look you can spot the differences which are mostly in their front and rear fascias. BMW is also offering more standard equipment on them.
According to the car manufacturer, the number of bars in the kidney grille has been reduced from 10 to 9, but unless you have OCD, this should slip right beside you. There is a new front apron, the front fog lamps have been positioned at the far outer edges of the front end and you can now have the standard Adaptive Full-LED headlights. Other modifications include the different side mirrors which should contribute to the overall aerodynamics of the three cars.
New color shades have been added too and these include the Mediterranean Blue metallic, the Glacier Silver metallic, the Melbourne Red metallic, Cashmere Silver metallic and Jatoba metallic. In the cabin we can find the LEDs which are illuminating portions of the interior and high gloss black trim which is covering the center.
The reintroduction of the BMW 640i and 650i versions is possible thanks to the facelifted 6-Series which are coming with a 6-cylinder unit with 315 HP and a twin turbo V8 with 445 HP, respectively. The 650i xDrive Coupe and the 650i xDrive Gran Coupe can reach 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. The top of the line model remains the M6 with its 4.4 liter twin turbo unit, rated at 552 HP.
