The Buick Avenir Concept has been officially unveiled and it will be making its public debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit.
Buick is taking a step forward into its vehicle creation by officially pulling the wraps off a brand new one-off model, the Avenir Concept. The model in question has a small possibility of hitting the production line, in the near future, probably as an Opel / Vauxhall, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet. The new one-off car is basically a flagship sedan with LED headlights, prominent waterfall grille, ventilated front fenders, muscular rear fenders and it is riding on 21-inch alloy wheels.
The interior design of the model is inspired by the looks of the exterior and here we can find the silk and bamboo wood trim, the high quality materials such as the premium leather, the ionic air filtration system, ambient lighting, IntelliLink infotainment system with a large 12-inch display, the wireless smartphone charger, the driver recognition system which is recognizing the driver and loading the music preference, recently visited places and calendar schedule and several other goodies.
The Buick Avenir is also getting the individual rear seats, considering the fact that it has been designed as a flagship, a full length console separating them, dual screen entertainment system in the rear and much more. Buick hasn’t released any technical specifications on the Avenir Concept just yet but it has announced that a V6 engine with direct injection, cylinder deactivation and start/stop system is found under its hood, connected to the AWD system through a 9-speed automatic transmission.
