2015 NAIAS LIVE: Cadillac CTS-V image

The high performance version of the Cadillac CTS, the CTS-V, has been officially presented to the public during the 2015 Detroit Motor Show.

After being officially unveiled just a few weeks ago, over the web at least, the brand new Cadillac CTS-V has recently made its public debut, during the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit. The model in question is a rival for the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and for the BMW M5 and it is getting an aggressive exterior design, with larger air intakes, a mesh grille, a ventilated carbon fiber hood, a front splitter and so on.

The kit also includes the widened fenders, the aerodynamic side skirts, the four tailpipe exhaust system or the 19-inch forged aluminum wheels, wrapped in the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The cabin of the car has been equipped with the CUE infotainment system, with a digital instrument cluster, a Bose audio system, the Performance Data Recorder, the semi-aniline leather / sueded microfiber sport seats, the matte carbon fiber trim and much more.

Other features found on the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V include the sport tuned suspension system, Brembo brakes, electronic limited slip differential and so on. Power is being provided by the 6.2 liter V8 engine, which is producing a total of 640 HP (477 kW) and 855 Nm (630 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is sending power to the wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission. From 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h), the high performance sedan needs just 3.7 seconds and it can go all the way up to 200 mph (322 km/h).
