The Mercedes AMG GLE 63 AMG Coupe has been officially presented to the public, in a premiere, during the 2015 North American International Auto Show.

Following its online unveil, the brand new Mercedes AMG GLE 63 Coupe is finally here and it is currently on display at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit. The powerful SAV is getting ready to take on its main rival, the BMW X6 M, but until it will be arriving in showrooms, it is currently being promoted and launched.

The most important part of the model is found under its hood where the 5.5 liter biturbo V8 engine is resting. The unit is capable of producing a total output of 557 HP (410 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. This is allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds and it can go all the way up to is electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

There is also a hotter version of the model available, which has been called the GLE 63 AMG S Coupe. This is taking its power from the same 5.5 liter biturbo V8 engine, but its unit is more powerful and it can put down 585 HP (430 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft) of torque. Thanks to the extra power, the SAV can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds but it has the same electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Power is being sent to the permanent all-wheel drive through an AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission.

Mercedes-Benz says that the standard items which will be found on the model include the adaptive brake, attention assist, collision prevention assist plus, eco start/stop, LED intelligent light system, tire pressure monitoring, rearview camera, crosswind assist, heated front seats, brushed stainless steel with rubber studs sports pedals, electrically adjustable front seats, AMG lettering on the floor mats, door sill panels with the AMG lettering and several other goodies. The GLE 63 AMG Coupe will become available for order soon.
