Following a series of announcements made just last month, the brand new Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport has been recently introduced, at the 2015 NAIAS, in Detroit.
If you fancy the new C63 AMG but don’t feel like this is for you, than you can now turn your head towards the C450 AMG Sport, which is placed just below the range topping version. The model in question is coming with 360 mm and 320 mm braking discs, front to rear, covered with 18-inch alloy wheels with 225/45 and 245/40 front to rear tires, a new front bumper, black side mirrors, a new front grille, subtle boot lid spoiler on the sedan and a tailgate attached spoiler element on the wagon, sports seats in the cabin, red seatbelts, flat bottomed steering wheel, alloy pedals and several other goodies.
The Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG is taking its power from a 3.0 liter V6 twin turbo engine, which is capable of producing a total output of 362 HP (270 kW), at 5,500 rpm, and a peak torque of 517 Nm (382 lb-ft), available between 2,000 rpm and 4,200 rpm. The unit is connected to a 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, allowing the model to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds (0.1s slower in the wagon) and an electronic limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Sales for this model should begin over the next few months but no pricing details have been announced yet.
