The new off-road pickup truck RAM 1500 Rebel has seen daylight in a premiere at the 2015 NAIAS.
The 2016 RAM 1500 Rebel has been officially presented to the public at the Detroit Motor Show. The model in question is getting a rugged front fascia, a silver skid plate, power coated front bumper, two recovery hooks, a new front grille, aluminum snorkel, LED infused headlights, extended fender flares, the RAM branded tailgate, chrome exhaust system, tri-fold tonneau cover and 17-inch matte black aluminum wheels, wrapped in Toyo Open Country A/T all-terrain tires.
The same unique styling is continued in the cabin too where we can find the embroidered headrests, the vinyl seats with the Sedoso fabric inserts, Iron Gray Metallic Trim, Radar Red anodized accents. The Rebel badging, heated front seats, the new center console with a smartphone / tablet holder and several other tweaks which should make the model appealing to its future customers.
Some modifications have been made to the truck in order to make sure that this can tackle the tough terrain, such as the softer rear stabilizer bar, air suspension, Bilstein shocks and 1-inch lift kit. The best in class ground clearance of 10.3 inches has been achieved thanks to these changes. Power is coming from a 3.5L Pentastar V6 with 305 HP (227 kW) and 365 Nm (269 lb-ft) or by a 5.7L HEMI V8, with 395 HP (294 kW) and 555 Nm (410 lb-ft) of torque, connected to the 8-speed auto and the optional four-wheel drive. The RAM 1500 Rebel will go on sale this summer.
