Mazda has put an end to rumors on the new special edition of the MX-5, the MX-5 Miata Club, by officially pulling the wraps off the model during the 2015 New York Auto Show, in a premiere. The roadster is in its high specification version and it is adding features such as the shock tower brace, Bilstein shocks, front air dam, rear lip spoilers, 17-onch gunmetal alloy wheels wrapped in 205/45 tires and others.
The carmaker says that standard equipment on the MX-5 Club models includes the 7-inch touch screen color display for the MAZDA CONNECT infotainment system, the multi-funciton control, the two USB ports, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, the piano black side mirrors, headrest speakers for the 9-speaker Bose audio system, brakes signed by Brembo, aerodynamic side sill extensions and so on.
Mazda says that all units of the MX-5, which are aimed towards North America, will be introduced with the compact LED headlights, with the Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, with the SKYACTIV-G 2.0 liter engine connected to either a standard 6-speed manual SKYACTIV-MT transmission or to the optional six-speed automatic, amongst others.
