The new Mazda MX-5 Launch Edition has made its public debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show, joining the new MX-5 Club version.
After officially pulling the wraps off the Mazda MX-5 Club during the 2015 New York Auto Show, the Japanese based automaker has used the same automotive event in order to introduce the MX-5 Launch Edition. This is a limited edition of the popular roadster, in its new generation, which will be offered in just 1,000 units in the United States. The model has been based on the Grand Touring version and it is getting a Soul Red exterior finish, along with the Sport Tan leather in the cabin, a combination available exclusively to it.
“Along with the privilege of exclusivity and being among the first 1,000 to take delivery, owners will be able to enjoy our latest entertainment, safety and luxury technologies – many of which are unique among sports cars. And of course, they’ll be the first to experience the exhilaration of being behind the wheel of one of the last true lightweight, driver-focused sports cars available today”, said Jim O’Sullivan, the CEO and president for MNAO.
Some of the goodies found on the roadster include the 9-speaker Bose sound system, the automatic climate control, the heated seats, the lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring system, automatic high-beam control, cross-traffic alert, 17-inch alloy wheels and so on. Mazda is also offering the Bose SoundLink mini Bluetooth speaker on the model, along with the SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation and infotainment system. Orders for the MX-5 Launch Edition are already accepted by Mazda and those interested should place a 500 USD deposit, with pricing being announced at a later date.
