Scion has introduced the iA sports sedan during the 2015 New York Auto Show, in a premiere.
The Scion iA is basically a rebadged version of the Mazda2 Sedan which has been introduced during the 2015 New York Auto Show. The model in question is getting some minor changes compared to the Mazda version and the front end is packing the hexagonal radiator grille, the sweptback headlights and some modifications have been made to the rear too, where we can find the new design for the taillights. Scion says that the new iA is also getting features such as the MacPherson strut front suspension, the torsion beam rear suspension, low-speed pre-collision system, the keyless entry and keyless go, the rearview camera and so on.

In addition to adding a new vehicle to its stable, it’s also adding its first-ever sedan, the remarkably sporty, yet very affordable, 2016 Scion iA. The Scion iA sedan joins the all-new 2016 Scion iM hatchback for a one-two punch in the subcompact and compact segments”, says the carmaker in its official press release.
The new Scion iA will be taking its power form a 1.5 liter petrol burner, which will be producing a total output of 106 HP (78 kW). The unit can be connected to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission and it is burning an average of 33 / 42 / 37 mpg in city / highway / combined. The estimated MSRP is in the $16,000-range. More details on the model are limited at this time.
