2015 Opel Corsa officially unveiled image

The new generation of the Opel Corsa has been officially unveiled by the company ahead of its public debut which has been scheduled for this October, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show.

The 2015 Opel Corsa has a front fascia inspired by the Opel Adam so recognizing it will be pretty easy. The model in question has received some distinctive headlights and a wide front grille, along with lower side blades, a strong shoulder lone and a new set of taillights.

As far as the interior design goes, here we can see the IntelliLink infotainment system, with its 7-inch display, the metallic accents, the 3-spoke steering wheel, gloss black trim, Siri Eyes Free compatibility, Bluetooth and more while the options list will be including the ambient interior lighting, the heated steering wheel, the heated front seats, the panoramic sunroof and several other tweaks.

The brand new Opel Corsa is coming with a new chassis, with new suspension components and with a variety of safety gizmos such as the Hill Start Assist, the Side Blindspot Alert, the Automatic Park Assist, the Lane Departure Warning, the High Beam assist and several other tweaks which should ensure it a 5-star safety rating at the Euro NCAP. Opel keeps telling us that the center of gravity is now 5 cm lower than the one of its predecessor so that means that the steering has been improved.

As far as the engine lineup goes, this will be including the 1.0 liter three-cylinder petrol burner, with its 90 HP (66 kW) and with 115 HP (84 kW), the 1.4 liter turbocharged petrol with 100 HP (73 kW) and 200 Nm (147 lb-ft) of torque, the 1.2 liter and the 1.4 liter naturally aspirated petrol burners and the improved 1.3 liter CDTi diesel engine. More details on the new-gen Opel Astra are believed to be announced on the 4th of October, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, when the car will be making its debut.
