Porsche has officially pulled the wraps off the 2015 Cayenne and the 2015 Cayenne GTS, ahead of their public debut scheduled for the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The 2015 Porsche Cayenne GTS has received the Sport Design package, which is adding some interesting items, such as the revised side skirts or the extended wheel arches. The model has been also equipped with tinted headlights and taillights, the ride has been reduced by 20-24 mm, 20-inch alloy wheels, high performance braking system, sports exhaust system, Porsche Active Suspension Management system, some additional body color accents and several other tweaks.
As far as the interior design goes, changes are limited here but we can find the GTS branded headrests of the leather and Alcantara sport seats. Power is coming from a 3.6L V6 twin turbo engine, which is producing 440 HP (323 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque, meaning 20 HP (14 kW) and 85 Nm (62 lb-ft) of torque more. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 5.2 seconds or 5.2 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package and top speed stands at 262 km/h (162 mph).
An entry-level Porsche Cayenne will be introduced also, during the same 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. This will pack a 3.6 liter V6 engine under its hood, with 300 HP (220 kW), connected to the new 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration will take 7.7 seconds and top speed will stand at 230 km/h (143 mph). Prices for the Cayenne will start from 65,427 euros and for the Cayenne GTS at 98,152 euros, in Germany. Both models will go on sale in February, 2015.
