The new generation of the Skoda Fabia has been recently rendered in its Monte Carlo version, which should be introduced by the end of this year.
After being officially unveiled just a day ago, the 2015 Skoda Fabia is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of two renderings, which are showing it in the Monte Carlo guise. The photos in question have been signed by Theophilus Chin and they are providing us with a first look into the hottest version of the new Skoda Fabia, considering the fact that an RS variant will not be developed anymore.
The 2015 Skoda Fabia is riding on the PQ26 platform which is shared with the Polo. The model is weighing 65 kg (143 lbs) less than its predecessor and in the entry level versions it stands at just 980 kg (2,160 lbs). Power is coming from the 60 HP 1.0 MPI and from the 110 HP 1.2 TSI in the gasoline lineup, while diesel lovers will be able to order the 1.4 liter common rail direct injected unit, with its 75 HP (55 kW) or 105 HP (77 kW). Later on, or in 2015, Skoda will introduce the Fabia GreenLine, with its 1.4 liter TDI with 75 HP and energy recuperation technology, start / stop system, an updated body style and several other tweaks.
