Skoda has released new teaser images with the upcoming generation of the Fabia ahead of the model’s unveil which is expected to be made over the next few days.
The 2015 Skoda Fabia is ending up in our news once again, with the help of some new teaser images. The model in question will be getting the familiar corporate grille, the LED daytime running lights incorporated into the headlights which seem to be inspired by the VW Polo facelift and some other tweaks to help it stand out from a crowd. The vehicle will be riding on the PQ25 platform and it will shed off approximately 65 kg from its weight and the base model should weigh just 980 kg.
The new generation of the Skoda Fabia will get an engine lineup which will include the base 1.0 liter three-cylinder MPI with its 60 HP (44 kW), the 1.2 liter TSI With 110 HP (81 kW) and the brand new 1.4 liter turbo diesel, with either 75 HP (55 kW) and 105 HP (77 kW). The Fabia GreenLine will be getting the economical 1.4 TDI 75 HP under its hood and it should burn just 3.1L / 100km (91.1 mpg UK / 75.8 mpg US) thanks to its low rolling resistance tires, kinetic energy recuperation, stop / start engine technology and improved aerodynamics.
