A new set of images with the 2015 Superb has been released by Skoda as the model has been officially presented to the public during the Geneva Motor Show, earlier this year.
The 2015 Skoda Superb is a rival for just about anything in the mid-size segment, starting with the Ford Mondeo and ending with the BMW 3-Series. The model in question is riding on the MQB modular platform signed by the Volkswagen Group, and it is getting a larger wheelbase, 80 mm longer than the one used on its predecessor. The interior design has received better quality materials and the cargo capacity is625 liters with the rear seats in place which is making it 84 liters more spacious than a Mondeo and 39 liters more than a Passat.
Some of the features which have been added to the new Superb generation include the tri-zone climate control, the new infotainment system, the heated seats, the Canton audio system with 12 speakers, , the Adaptive Cruise Control, Crew Protective Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Assist, Emergency Assist and several other goodies. The car manufacturer is offering no less than five petrol engines to the customers of the new Superb, which are rated between 125 HP (92 kW) and 280 HP (206 kW), along with three TDI diesel units, producing between 120 HP (88 kW) and 190 HP (140 kW). All units can be connected to the dual-clutch transmission, except for the entry-level petrol burner. The AWD system is optional and it can be had with four out of the eight engines.
