Our spy photographers have managed to capture the brand new Smart ForTwo Brabus on camera for the very first time.
Daimler’s brand was not so sure on disclosing the development of other new versions of the recently unveiled Smart ForTwo but a report published a couple of days ago was suggesting that the city car will gain, besides the Brabus variant pictured below, a convertible and also an electric one. The Smart ForTwo Brabus will get the unique front grille, the new front and rear bumpers, the darker taillights and headlights and some other tweaks to help it stand out from a crowd.
The new “pocket rocket” is also coming with the dual exhaust pipes, which are the signs of Brabus’ involvement in the development of the city car. Under the hood, the 2015 Smart ForTwo Brabus is believed to gain an updated version of the 0.9 liter three-cylinder turbocharged unit, which should be producing approximately 110 HP or 120 HP, unlike the standard one which is getting 90 HP. The model will also come with a sportier suspension system and it will get the 7-speed dual clutch transmission only, dropping the manual and the 6-speed dual clutch from the regular one. Chances are the new Smart ForTwo Brabus will be introduced in March, 2015, during the Geneva Motor Show.
