Just a day after a report is stating that the Cabrio, the Electric and the Brabus versions of the new Smart ForTwo generation will actually happen, the first one has been rendered.
In case you are fan of the weirdly designed new-gen Smart ForTwo and you are interested in other versions than the one already available, you should know that you need to have a lot of patience as the Convertible, the Electric and the Brabus are planned, indeed, but they will be hitting the market in a few years time. Meanwhile, you can check out how the Cabrio will look like in the renderings posted below, which have been signed by Theophilus Chin.
The new generation of the Smart ForTwo has been officially unveiled, along with the new ForFour, just a few days ago. The model is being powered by a 90 HP (66 kW) and 135 Nm (99 lb-ft) of torque 0.9 liter turbocharged unit and also by a 1.0 liter naturally aspirated engine with 71 HP (52 kW) and 91 Nm (67 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission options include the new twinamic 6-speed dual clutch or the 5-speed manual. Prices for the new ForTwo generation will start from 11,000 euros.
