The new generation of the Smart ForTwo has been recently spied once more, this time while being tested in a cold weather environment.
The 2015 Smart ForTwo is ending up in our news once again, this time with the help of some spy photos, which are showing the model, wrapped in camouflage, while playing in the snow. The images in question have been taken by our spy photographers in Northern Sweden. The new Smart ForTwo generation, pictured below, will also give birth to a stretched version of the vehicle, which will most likely be named the Smart ForTwo+2, which will get rear doors, making access to the cabin easier.
Rumors are saying that an additional model will make the new Smart range more competitive with models like the Chevrolet Spark and also with some premium vehicles such as the Audi A1 and the rumored BMW Isetta. The new generation of the Smart ForTwo will keep its rear-wheel drive and its engine below the floor of the trunk, but on the +2 version, an extended wheelbase will be used. Several engine options, along with a hybrid and an electric motor, will find their way onto the new Smart ForTwo generation.
