The first rendering of the new-gen Smart ForTwo is ending up on the web, a couple of days after the city car was officially unveiled.
2015 Smart ForTwo, and its four-door brother, the ForFour, have been created in collaboration with Renault and since the new-gen Twingo doesn’t have a convertible version, the small city car signed by Daimler will not be developing such a model. Even so, thanks to a new rendering, we can see how the Smart ForTwo Roadster might look like, but if you are interested in such a model, forget it, because as we said above, the company will not create it.
The new generation of the Smart ForTwo is coming with a choice of two engines, the 0.9 liter turbocharged with 90 HP (66 kW) and 135 Nm (99 lb-ft) of torque, and the 1.0 liter naturally aspirated unit, with 71 HP (52 kW) and 91 Nm (67 lb-ft) of torque. The two engines can be connected to a 5-speed manual or to a 6-speed twinamic dual clutch transmission. Prices for the new-gen ForTwo will start from 11,000 euros while its four-door brother will be setting you back for at least 11,600 euros.
