Our spy photographers have managed to catch the new generation of the Subaru Legacy on camera, while the model was being tested, in a prototype form, in Europe.
The Japanese based automaker Subaru is getting ready to introduce a new generation of the Legacy onto the market as the company is currently testing such a model, in a prototype form, on the Old Continent. The vehicle in question is believed to make its way into showrooms sometimes next year, as a 2015 model, and thanks to the images posted below, we can clearly see some design elements borrowed from the new WRX. Elements found on the model include the coupe like profile, the rectangular grille, the dual exhaust tips, the C-shaped lights in the rear and more.
As far as the engine lineup goes, the 2015 Subaru Legacy is believed to get a 2.5 liter four-cylinder unit under its hood, on the base 2.5i model. This should produce 173 HP and it should be mated to a CVT, in available as an option, or to a standard transmission. The 2.5GT should make a return, with a 2.0 liter turbo unit. Additional details on the new generation of the Subaru Legacy are currently limited for the moment and will be announced next year, close to its debut.
