The 2015 Subaru WRX STI has been recently imagined as a coupe, for the first time ever, and we must admit that the result looks quite better than what the carmaker is currently offering.
A coupe version of the Subaru WRX STI hasn’t been seen since 1998, when the Impreza 22B STI was made in just 424 units, so the one pictured above should be enough to make the company’s fans wire the Japanese based automaker and ask the officials over there to put it into production. The bad part is that the image posted above represents a simple rendering, made by X-Tomi Design, but the good part is that the carmaker didn’t deny rumors on such a model just yet.
The 2015 Subaru WRX STI has received a bold body kit and a massive rear wing. Power to the model is being provided by a 2.5 liter four-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine, which is producing a total output of 305 HP (227 kW), at 6,000 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 393 Nm (290 lb-ft), available at 4,000 rpm. The unit is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, which is sending power ot the symmetrical all-wheel drive system.
