The Japanese based automaker Subaru is planning to introduce the 2015 WRX STI early next year, during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
With the 2015 Subaru WRX getting ready to be officially unveiled this month, during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, the WRX STI will make its public debut a few months later, during the 2014 Detroit Motor Show, in January. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet and it’s coming as a report, signed by the guys at motoring.com.au. The 2015 Subaru WRX STI will stand out from a crowd thanks to its wide and aggressive body kit, to the larger rear spoiler and, of course, to the improved handling and chassis tweaks.
The upcoming 2015 Subaru WRX STI will ride on the AFL (Axle Forward Layout) chassis, and the engine will be mounted lower and further back, for better weight distribution. The model is also believed to get a torque vectoring system, which should apply pressure to the brakes. The 2015 Subaru WRX STI, is believed to produce a total output of 304 HP (224 kW) and 393 Nm (290 lb-ft). Additional details on the new WRX STI are limited for the moment and will be announced next year, in Detroit.
