The Japanese based automaker Subaru has recently announced its plans to introduce the 2015 WRX STI to the upcoming NAIAS, in Detroit, which will officially open its gates this month.
Ever since the unveil of the 2015 Subaru WRX, the questions on everyone’s lips were related to the STI version and now the answers are just around the corner as the company has recently announced its plans to introduce the model during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, this month.
“Subaru of America, Inc. announced today it will introduce the all-new 2015 WRX STI, Subaru’s iconic performance flagship model, at the North American International Auto Show on January 14th”, as the carmaker is saying in its official press release.
Rumors are saying that the final production version of the 2015 Subaru WRX STI will be provided by a 2.5 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which should produce approximately 300 HP (224 kW) and 393 Nm (290 lb-ft) of torque, compared to the standard WRX, which is getting a 268 HP (200 kW) and 349 Nm (258 lb-ft) 2.0L four-cylinder unit under its hood. More details on the model in question are limited for the moment.
