Volkswagen has recently announced the official price list for the 2015 Golf in the United States, which will become available from 17,995 USD, without the 820 USD destination charge and handling fee.
The 2015 Volkswagen Golf will go on sale in August and the entry-level Golf Launch Edition will only be available in a three-door hatchback body style. Standard features found on it include the power windows, power locks, air conditioning, Bluetooth, 5.8-inch touch screen display and infotainment system, for 17,995 USD. This is followed by the Golf S, with its leather wrapped steering wheel, leatherette seats, Car-Net connected services, 16-inch alloy wheels and more, for 18,995 USD.
The Volkswagen Golf SE is next in the lineup, coming as a five-door hatchback with rain sensing wipers, fog lights, automatic headlights, front heated seats, Fender audio system and 17-inch alloy wheels for 24,494 USD. The top of the line Golf SEL is adding the automatic climate control, the push button ignition and keyless entry, GPS navigation system, ambient interior lighting, sport comfort seats and more. Prices for this version start at 26,995 USD. All models mentioned above are getting a 1.8L turbocharged engine with 170 HP (126 kW) and 270 Nm (200 lb-ft) of torque, but a 2.0L turbo diesel is also available, with 150 HP (111 kW) and 319 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque.
