VW has announced the official price list for the new Golf GTI in the United States, where the C-segment hot hatch will set you back for at least 24,395 USD, without the destination and handling charge.
The 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI has an entry-level GTI S version, which is available to order from 24,395 USD. The model in question has been equipped with LED fog lights, with 18-inch aluminum wheels, with ambient interior lighting, a leather wrapped steering wheel, cloth sport seats, heated front seats or a touch screen infotainment system.
The mid-range Golf GTI SE is adding automatic headlights, a power sunroof, rain sensing wipers, keyless entry, rearview camera, Fender premium audio system and leather seats, all for 27,395 USD. The top of the line Golf GTI Autobahn is priced from 29,595 USD and it’s coming with all the equipment mentioned above, along with the automatic climate control system, with the 12-way power driver’s seat and GPS navigation system, amongst others.
You can order the Performance Package too, for an extra 1,495 USD, which is adding an extra 10 HP (7 kW), a limited slip differential and beefier brakes. Other optionals include the 6-speed DSG, the lighting package or the Dynamic Chassis Control. All versions of the Volkswagen Golf GTI are taking their power from the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, which is rated at 210 HP (156 kW) and 349 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque.
