The first details and sketches with the 2015 Volkswagen Passat have recently hit the web ahead of its official introduction scheduled for later on this fall.
The development of a new generation of the Volkswagen Passat is no longer a surprise for anyone and it seems that the model in question is close to hitting the production line than we thought. The 2015 Volkswagen Passat has a sportier appearance and it’s coming with a prominent front grille, with distinctive headlights, bulging wheel arches, a dual exhaust system, chrome trim and what seems to be a four-door coupe body style. All of these are offering the model a sporty styling.
The interior design of the new Volkswagen Passat generation will be getting a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, a new infotainment system and several other goodies. The 2.0 liter TDI four-cylinder twin turbo engine will be coming with 240 HP (176 kW) and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque, mated to a 7-speed DSG and the AWD system. A plug-in hybrid version, using a 1.4 liter TSI engine and a 102 HP (75 kW) electric motor is also expected to make its way onto the model. More details on it remain unknown for the moment.
