The 2015 Volkswagen Passat has been recently teased by the German based automaker as the model in question will be officially unveiled next month.
The new generation of the Volkswagen Passat is just around the corner and the model in question has been teased once again, this time in a new official image, which is slightly revealing its headlights and some of its lines, hinting towards a model which will be sportier than the current version. We can also see the muscular wheel arches, the contoured hood or the prominent character lines, which will help set it apart easier.
The European version of the 2015 Volkswagen Passat will be slightly smaller than the already available model and it will have a high strength steel construction, aluminum and some other tweaks. This means that it will weigh 85 kg more than its predecessor. As far as the engine lineup goes, this will include a 2.0 liter TDI unit, with 240 HP (176 kW) and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque, which will be connected to a 7-speed DSG, sending power to the all-wheel drive system. There will also be a plug-in hybrid version, with a 1.4 liter petrol TSI unit and a 102 HP (75 kW) electric motor. This will produce a total of 204 HP (150 kW) and it will have an electric range of 50 km (31 miles).
