The new generation of the Volvo XC90 is believed to be officially unveiled this fall, as the model in question will become available to its future customers in the U.S. in early 2015.
The Swedish based automaker Volvo is currently working on a new generation of the XC90 and the model has been recently previewed by the XC Coupe Concept, which has been officially unveiled last week, during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The new Volvo XC90 generation is said to be officially unveiled this fall and the SUV should become available for order, over-seas, in March, 2015.
The 2015 Volvo XC90 will ride on the SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) and power should be provided by the Drive-E engines. As far as safety technologies go, the Adaptive Cruise Control with Steer Assist, the Road Edge, the Animal Detection, the Barrier Detection with Steer Assist and many more will become available for the model. The design of the new SUV is believed to be completely redesigned and to resemble the one of the XC Coupe Concept. Additional details on the new generation of the Volvo XC90 are limited for the moment and will probably be announced over the following months.
