2015 Worthersee – Volkswagen Golf GTI Dark Shine Concept image

The Volkswagen Golf GTI Dark Shine Concept has been introduced officially at the GTI meeting at Worthersee 2015.

Volkswagen has introduced the so-called Golf GTI Dark Shine Concept during the 2015th edition of the Worthersee. The model in question has been created with the assistance of 13 apprentices from Sitech Sitztechnik and Wolfsburg and it is nothing more than a simple one-off vehicle which has been based on the Golf GTI Performance. The new Volkswagen Golf GTI Dark Shine Concept is coming with the Daytona Grey Metallic and with R-Yellow Pearl exterior with handcrafted tailpipes, making it instantly recognizable.

“By working on the Worthersee GTI project, our apprentices learn about the complexity of automobile production. The project offers especially talented young people an opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues from the entire company at an early stage”, said Stefan Kreher, the head of Volkswagen Vocational Training.

The one-off compact car has a sporty styling inside it too where there is yellow contrast stitching on the leather / Alcantara upholstery, along with Recaro front sport seats, with an Alcantara wrapped steering wheel, with yellow accents, a revised trim, a 3,500-watt audio system controllable by a tablet and several other goodies. The model is taking its power from the 2.0 liter TSI four-cylinder engine, which has received the optimized ECU, the new intercooler and a carbon fiber air box, allowing it to produce a total of 395 HP (290 kW) and 487 Nm (359 lb-ft) of torque.
