The first teaser image with the 2016 Acura ILX has been released by the carmaker ahead of the model’s public debut which will take place during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Acura is getting ready for the 2014th edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show with the 2016 version of the ILX. According to the car manufacturer, the model in question will be “substantially new” and despite being teased in the image posted above, we cannot really tell you how it may be like.
“Acura is preparing to unveil a substantially new 2016 ILX at the L.A. Auto Show next month as the brand aims to raise the stakes again in the entry-premium sedan segment”, said the carmaker in its official press release.
The 2016 Acura ILX is said to get a more potent powertrain considering the fact that the previous one, the 150 HP (112 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque 2.0 liter entry-level has been called underpowered by a company’s executive. Sadly Acura didn’t release any more details on the new ILX so we will have to wait for it to be officially unveiled on the 20th of November, during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, in order to find out more about it.
