2016 Acura NSX rendered as Targa image

The Acura NSX is being highlighted once more after its public debut at NAIAS, this time with the help of a rendering which is showing it in a Targa body style.

The brand new Acura NSX is finally here, in its production version, as it has been officially presented to the public, a couple of days ago, during the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit. With a huge demand and people like Jerry Seinfeld who has already paid in advance for his own NSX, it wasn’t long until rendering artists have gone wild and created the sports car in a Targa body style.

Chances of the Acura NSX Targa hitting the production line are limited to zero but if it indeed will, than it will be sharing all components, design, interior and engine with its coupe brother. This stands at 4,470 mm long, 1,940 mm wide and 1,215 mm tall, with a 2,630 mm long wheelbase. The interior design is adding the power button fitted to the center console, the low mounted instrument panel, the ultra thin strong A-pillar design, the dynamic TFT display and several other goodies.

Under its hood, we will find a longitudinally mounted twin turbocharged V6, which will be putting down 550 HP. The internal combustion unit will be backed up by three electric motors. Power is being sent to both axles to form the so-called “Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive”. More details on the new NSX are limited at this time but rumor has it that it will be priced from 150,000 USD.
