Acura has officially announced the starting price of the 2016 RDX which is currently available for order in the United States, starting with the 16th of April, 2015.
After it has been introduced at the Chicago Auto Show recently, the 2016 Acura RDX is now getting ready to storm U.S. dealerships as the carmaker has officially announced its starting price, over-seas. The cheapest version of the model will be setting you back for 35,270 USD and it is coming with modified front and rear bumpers, with the new Jewel Eye LED headlights, with a revised front grille, with new taillights and with some updated alloy wheels, amongst others.
The cabin of the premium SUV hasn’t been left unchanged either as this is now getting the high contrast silver trim, the heated front seats, the second row air vents and several other goodies. Acura is also offering customers of the 2016 RDX the chance to order the Advance Package, which is adding the front and rear parking sensors, the rain sensing wipers, the fog lights, the auto dimming driver’s side mirror, the navigation system, ventilated front seats and so on.
As far as the engine goes, the 2016 Acura RDX is getting a new 3.5 liter V6 unit, which is producing 6 HP (4 kW) and 1 Nm (1 lb-ft) more than before, to a total of 279 HP (208 kW) and 341 Nm (252 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is connected to the 9-speed automatic transmission. The official fuel consumption figures stand at 20 / 29 mpg in city / highway in FWD and 19 / 28 mpg in city / highway in AWD.
