New renderings with the 2016 Audi A4 and A4 Avant have been released and they are providing us with another look into the next generation of the popular vehicle.
The development of the 2016 Audi A4 is no longer a surprise because our spy photographers have already caught the model on camera several times until now and rumor has it that this will be officially presented to the public later on this year, during a major automotive event on the Old Continent, such as the Geneva Motor Show, in March, or the Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
The 2016 Audi A4 will be riding on the next generation of the MLB (modular longitudinal) platform, which will also be used to five birth to other models in the company’s lineup. The vehicle’s new platform, which has been called the MLB Evo, will be using a combination of aluminum, high-strength steel and composites, in order to keep the weight down. The front suspension system will be comprised of five links per wheel and the rear one will be based on the self-tracking trapezoidal link principle.
Thanks to these changes, the new generation of the Audi A4 will be more maneuverable compared to the outgoing one and its design will be evolutionary, which will make it instantly recognizable. Expect a new engine lineup available for it, along with a plug-in hybrid version and the newest technologies in the cabin. More details on the next generation of the Audi A4 are limited for the moment and will be announced once the model will be unveiled.
