The next generation of the Audi A4 should theoretically be just around the corner and the first rendering with the new model has popped onto the web.
One of the most awaited family sedans out there, the Audi A4, is believed to have started its development for a new generation. This makes more logic if we think that its two main rivals, Mercedes-Benz and BMW, are already offering new generations of the C-Class and 3-Series. Rumor has it that the next-gen Audi A4 will be riding on the MLB Evo platform which has been previewed on the Sport Quattro Concept and it should use a combination of aluminum and ultrahigh strength steel.
This should allow the engineers to shed approximately 100 kg from its weight, compared to the current version, and in terms of styling we should expect similarities between this, the new TT and some concept cars. The new generation of the Audi A4 will be instantly recognizable and if it will look anything like the one in the two images posted below, than this will be one attractive and conservative ride to own. The current generation of the A4 has been around since 2007 and a facelift has been introduced in 2012, significantly changing its front fascia and rear end. The new generation of the A4 is believed to be introduced in mid-2015.
