Audi has pulled the wraps off the new generation of the A4, in its two body styles, sedan and estate.
The newest competitor for the BMW 3-Series, for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the Jaguar XE or the new Alfa Romeo Giulia is coming from Audi and it is the new generation of the A4. The model in question has been officially unveiled in its two body styles, coupe and sedan, and it is now looking more refined than its predecessor, getting a completely new design.
The model in question has received the wider singleframe grille, the different headlights, the new LED daytime running lights, enlarged wheelhouses, a prominent shoulder line, a more sloped roofline, LED taillights, a higher boot lid, a roof mounted spoiler for the estate and several other tweaks which are definitely helping it differentiate from its predecessor.
The cabin of the vehicle has been completely redesigned too and here we can find the completely new seats, the LED ambient lighting with no less than 30 colors, a rear-seat entertainment system with two 10.1-inch tablets, the optional Bang & Olufsen audio system, the 8.3-inch tablet like display with Wi-Fi and voice control on the range topping variants, the 12.3-inch customizable digital instrument cluster, LET connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and so on.

Longer and wider than the previous model
The new generation of the Audi A4 now stands at 4,730 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width and 1,143 mm in height, which is basically making it 25 mm longer and 16 mm wider than the model it is replacing. The wheelbase has received an extra 12 mm too, to a total of 2,820 mm. With the seats up, the trunk has a cargo capacity of 505 liters, 15 liters more than the current model, but fold the rear seats and the number will increase to 1,510 liters. The entry-level model is weighing 1,320 kg, without the driver, and the total weight loss is up to 120 kg.
1.4 liter TFSI @ 150hp
The engine lineup of the new midsize car include the 1.4 liter TFSI, in the entry-level version. This is rated at 150 HP (110 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque and it is followed by the 2.0 liter TFSI, producing 190 HP (140 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque or 252 HP (185 kW) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque.
Diesel lovers will have to choose between the 2.0 liter TDI, available in two outputs, with 150 HP (110 kW) & 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) and 190 HP (140 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft).
The range-topping diesel is the popular 3.0 liter TDI, which is also offered in two outputs, with 218 HP (160 kW) & 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) and 272 HP (200 kW) & 600 Nm (443 lb-ft).
The Audi A4 Avant will receive the g-tron version too, which is running on CNG (compressed natural gas) and it is making use of a 2.0 liter TFSI engine, with 170 HP (125 kW) & 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque. The TFSI and the four-cylinder TDI units are coming in standard with a new 6-speed manual transmission which is 16 kg lighter than its predecessor while the rest of the units, excepting the high-end TDI, will get the 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch. The 3.0L TDI with 272 HP will get an 8-speed automatic. The new generation of the Audi A4 and A4 Avant will be offered for sale this fall.
