The upcoming generation of the Audi Q7 has been recently rendered, providing us with a first look into how the model may turn out to be once the company will pull the wraps off its body.
It’s no longer a surprise that Audi is currently working on the new generation of the Q7 as the model has been already caught on camera several times by spy photographers from across the Old Continent but the version pictured above has nothing to do with these spy shots as it is a simple rendering which has been created by X-Tomi Design.
The 2016 Audi Q7 is expected to get an evolutionary design and it should be riding on the MLV Evo platform. This should also be used on the next Porsche Cayenne generation and also under the much anticipated Bentley SUV, the Bentayga. The engine lineup should be carried over from the A7 and from the A8 and this should include the 3.0L TDI with outputs ranging between 218 HP and 320 HP, along with the twin turbo V8 4-liter or even the tri-turbo TDI from the RS5. A hybrid version is also expected to be introduced. The new Q7 will be unveiled in the first quarter of next year and it will go on sale by mid-2015.
