Our spy photographers have managed to provide the clearest images with the new generation of the Audi Q7 yet, as the prototype has been spotted virtually undisguised.
The German based automaker Audi is currently working on a new generation of the Q7 for several months now, but that doesn’t mean that the vehicle is ready for its official introduction, yet. The images posted below are some of the clearest on the web and the prototype shown in them has been caught basically undisguised, as the only camouflage visible is on the upper part of the grille and on the lighting units.
The 2016 Audi Q7 will get a different design language, with a new front grille and modified headlights. The model will still be one massive ride but thanks to a new platform, which will also be shared with the Bentley SUV, will be lighter, more fuel efficient and powerful. The engine lineup on it should be carried over from the A7 and from the A8 and it will include the three 3.0 liter TDI diesel burners, with their 218 HP to 320 HP. The company will also bring the 4-liter twin turbo V8 or even the tri-turbo from the RS5 Concept, as a rival for the BMW X5 M50d. A Q7 e-tron plug-in hybrid is also planned. The new Q7 should be officially unveiled sometimes next year, in Geneva or even in Frankfurt.
