The new generation of the Audi R8 has been recently rendered and this can provide us with a first look into the upcoming supercar.
The Audi R8 will be getting a new generation soon and this is no surprise to anyone who is reading the automotive news but what will come as a surprise will be its exterior design. This is what RM Design is trying to highlight in the image posted above, which is basically a rendering, but it is making the vehicle in question look like an oversized Audi TT. Maybe this is just my opinion but even so, chances are the final model will not be looking anything like that.
As expected, the next generation of the Audi R8 will be most likely introduced sometimes next year and it will be using the same platform as the Lamborghini Huracan, along with several bits and pieces from the Italian supercar. Chances are it will be coming with the 5.2 liter V10 engine, which should be producing approximately 570 HP (425 kW). A TDI version is said to be introduced in 2017, but there is still nothing official on this version. More details on the next-gen Audi R8 will be announced in 2015.
